Nearby Darwin lie several spectacular National parks, including Kakadu and Litchfield. With the loan of my brother’s car and with our time in the ‘Top End’ of Australia running out, Leslie and I hit Litchfield, smaller brother of the two, but none less impressive. With the outback sun scorching from above, and flies and midgies attacking from all angles, submerging in the cool waters of magnificent Florence Falls and Buley Rockholes was the order of the day.
Here’s a brief pictorial and video essay of our day in the sun, which we topped off with a glass of wine or two on the deck of a friend’s boat.
